WRC rejects security officer’s complaints over overtime, a shift and annual leave pay

By Fionn Kelly

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission found three complaints by a security officer about overtime, a disputed shift and annual leave pay were not well founded. The decision was dated 30 May 2017. The adjudication officer found he was not entitled to overtime because his average hours were at or below the 39-hour weekly threshold. His complaint about an unpaid shift failed because he could not identify its date or quantify it. The officer was satisfied his annual leave pay had been calculated correctly.
