The Workplace Relations Commission upheld a waiter’s redundancy and minimum-notice claims after the catering company failed to attend the hearing. The decision was dated 12 June 2017. The waiter said she worked for the company from October 2014 until November 2016 and earned €125 a week. The WRC found she was entitled to a redundancy payment and awarded her €300 under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act.
