The WRC awarded a shop assistant €600 after finding that a filling station and shop provided her written employment terms late. The decision was dated 11 May 2017. She said she received the terms on 1 November 2016, more than two months after starting work, and had never received the employee handbook. The employer said it had supplied both documents within a month but that she had not returned them. The adjudicator found her account more credible, noting that the employer did not follow up for four months and presented further copies only a week before telling her that her employment would end.
