The Workplace Relations Commission directed a restaurant to pay a chef €741 for unpaid wages in a decision dated 30 August 2017. The chef said he worked five days a week, from 10am until 10.30pm or 11pm, and was owed payment for 69 hours. The restaurant did not attend the hearing. The adjudicator accepted the chef's uncontested evidence and found the complaint well founded.
