The Workplace Relations Commission found a former sales assistant entitled to a statutory redundancy lump sum of €3,035.54, subject to social welfare requirements for PRSI contributions, and four weeks’ minimum notice pay of €1,057.68 after her employer went into liquidation. The WRC dated the decision 24 August 2017. It extended the time limit for the minimum-notice complaint by six months because litigation by the retailer’s former directors had delayed the claim. The retailer did not attend the hearing.
