WRC could not hear four complaints after restaurant company was dissolved

By Rory Hanlon

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC could not hear a restaurant worker’s four complaints after the company that employed the worker was dissolved. The complaints concerned redundancy pay, wages, written employment terms and working-time entitlements; the merits were not decided. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady dated the decision 14 September 2017. He said the former director named as respondent was not properly a respondent and had no personal liability for the company’s debts. The former directors agreed to help the complainants apply to the Social Insurance Fund.
