WRC could not hear restaurant worker’s four claims against former director

By Saoirse Doyle

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC could not hear four claims by a restaurant worker against a former director because the company that employed the worker had been dissolved. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady dated the decision 14 September 2017. The complaints concerned redundancy, minimum notice, employment information and working time; their merits were not decided. The officer said the former director had no personal liability for the business’s liabilities. The former directors had agreed to support an application to the Social Insurance Fund.
