The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a health care worker and a hospital return to the hospital’s grievance procedures over a dispute about reduced hours. The recommendation was dated 6 October 2017. The worker also alleged that the hospital was reducing her hours to force her resignation. The adjudicator found no evidence to support that allegation and noted that she remained employed. The adjudicator treated the hours and rosters issue as collective and said it was being handled by SIPTU. The WRC recommended that the parties re-engage through the grievance procedures, taking account of any resolution reached for the wider catering group. It dismissed the bullying and harassment element after finding no prima facie evidence.
