The WRC rejected an office administrator’s redundancy claim after finding she unreasonably refused alternative work at the employer’s Head Office. The decision was dated 15 November 2017. The officer found the five-day role was on the same pay and conditions, at a location closer to her home, and that the move would not cause inconvenience. The employer said it first offered three days’ work after the warehouse closed, then offered five days when she said three were insufficient. The administrator said she asked for the five-day offer in writing and did not receive it.
