The WRC found a technical breach of transfer consultation rules by a management services co, but did not award compensation to Technician B. The decision was dated 1 December 2017. Technician B said he and colleagues were told about the transfer at a meeting on 18 January 2017, after it had taken effect, and sought four weeks’ pay. A management services co said confidential negotiations made earlier consultation impracticable and employees’ terms were unchanged. The adjudication officer found the complaint well founded, but considered compensation inappropriate for the technical breach. The company was required to bring the finding to management’s attention.
