The WRC ordered a hotel to pay an employee €333.47 for 33.05 hours of public-holiday entitlement, and one week’s pay in compensation for a breach of employment-terms law. The decision was dated 17 May 2018. The employee, a food and beverage assistant, had also accrued 72.57 hours of annual leave to take on her return to work. The adjudicator found no breach in her Sunday-work complaint. A separate minimum-wage complaint was not heard and was directed to be rescheduled.
