The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) found a delicatessen manager was entitled to statutory redundancy after the business closed in February 2017. The decision was dated 30 August 2017 and required the delicatessen to pay within six weeks. The manager said the business closed abruptly on 14 February without paying redundancy. The delicatessen accepted she was entitled to the payment but said financial difficulties and a power cut forced it to close, leaving it unable to pay.
