The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a worker €1,000 after finding that her employer breached its duty to provide information about a transfer of employment. Adjudication Officer Niamh O’Carroll Kelly dated the decision 20 November 2017. The worker said her employment transferred to a third party in January 2017 and that she was owed final-week wages, holiday pay and overtime. The respondent did not appear. The WRC found that €315.67 in wages and €640.50 in holiday pay had been deducted, and awarded €956.17 on her Payment of Wages complaint. It also found that 20 hours of overtime at €9.15 an hour had gone unpaid and awarded €183. All three complaints succeeded.
