The WRC dismissed a complainant’s race discrimination complaint over a dispute at a car parts shop. The decision was dated 4 April 2018.
The complainant said a sales assistant ignored him, threatened to have him beaten and told him to leave. The respondent said he had left the queue while using his phone and became abusive when asked to wait. The adjudicator preferred the respondent’s witnesses and found no evidence linking the complainant’s treatment to his race.
