The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed a marketing co-ordinator’s unfair dismissal, discrimination and redundancy claims after he refused to transfer with his department to an outsourced entity. The decision was dated 3 April 2018. The adjudicator found his employment ended because he refused the transfer, not because his position was redundant, and that the dismissal was not unfair. The equality complaints also failed. The financial services company said refusal to transfer would be treated as voluntary resignation.
