A tour driver’s complaints about working hours and written employment terms failed at the Workplace Relations Commission, in a decision dated 29 January 2018. He had also withdrawn 11 other complaints. The adjudication officer found from tachograph records and rosters that the driver did not exceed regulated working hours, and did not accept his evidence that he was forced to work during breaks. The officer also found that an offer email and employee handbook set out his terms and conditions. The tour company said drivers had scheduled breaks and that the handbook was provided with the job offer.
