The WRC awarded a software developer €6,813 after finding he was unfairly dismissed. The decision was dated 19 April 2018. The software technology provider accepted that the dismissal was unfair on procedural grounds but argued that compensation should be limited because the worker had made little effort to find another job. The adjudicator found there was insufficient evidence that recommended supportive management arrangements had been put in place. She awarded three months’ salary for losses from January to June 2017, taking account of the worker’s efforts to find work during that period.
