The WRC dismissed a national account manager’s claim for further sick pay, finding he had received his full entitlement for the service year. The decision was dated 28 March 2018. The logistics company said the contract provided up to eight weeks at full pay and eight weeks at half pay in a service year, and that the manager had received those payments and pension contributions. The adjudicator found the service year ran from 27 August to 26 August and that the full sick pay entitlement and pension contributions had been paid. No further pension contribution was due while the manager received neither salary nor sick pay. Two working-time complaints were withdrawn at the hearing.
