The WRC upheld a construction worker’s claims for underpaid wages and missing employment terms against a construction company. It found that the applicable rate for heavy machine operators was €16.69 an hour and awarded €1,159.40 gross for the wage shortfall. The decision was dated 9 February 2018. The worker also said he had never received a contract or written terms of employment. The company did not attend the hearing. The WRC upheld the terms complaint and awarded €655 gross.
