The WRC rejected a cabin crew member’s unfair-dismissal complaint after finding she had not met the required regulatory competency standards. Adjudication Officer Jim O’Connell dated the decision 10 May 2018. The employer provided three refresher training sessions, time to study and a temporary ground-based role, but the officer found it could not provide ground work long term. He concluded that the employer took reasonable steps to facilitate her return and that termination was reasonable.
