A WRC adjudication officer found a security officer’s Payment of Wages complaint well founded and directed a security company to pay €232.05 for 21 hours short in wages from May and June 2017. The decision, dated 25 January 2018, followed the employer’s non-attendance at the hearing. The officer relied on the complainant’s payslips and bank statements, which showed 10 hours short in one week and 11 hours in another. The payment is subject to lawful deductions.
