The Workplace Relations Commission found that a chef was entitled to a statutory redundancy payment after the bar and restaurant where he worked in Wicklow closed. The decision was dated 8 February 2018. The adjudication officer found that the chef had more than two years’ service in insurable employment. The entitlement is based on weekly wages of €301 and service beginning 17 January 2015.
