Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission found that a book keeper was entitled to a statutory redundancy payment after her bar and restaurant employer closed its Wicklow business. Adjudication Officer Catherine Byrne dated the decision 3 April 2018. The worker had been employed from 19 May 2008, earned €177.23 a week and had more than two years’ service. The employer did not attend the hearing. The officer found she was in insurable employment and qualified for redundancy pay based on her wages and length of service.
