The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a childcare facility pay a childcare worker €1,000 for distress caused by delays in resolving a disciplinary dispute. The recommendation was dated 25 April 2018. The worker disputed a written warning issued after an investigation into two workplace incidents. Although the facility later removed the warning from her file, her appeal had not gone ahead before she began maternity leave. The WRC found that the delay and lack of communication caused her unwarranted upset and distress.
