The WRC found a manager’s constructive-dismissal dispute against a hospice was not well founded, after concluding she resigned about a month before she was due to return from a career break. The decision was dated 12 April 2018. The manager said the employer’s handling of disciplinary and return-to-work matters made her position untenable. The hospice said her role remained available and it was dealing with her return when she resigned. The adjudication officer found she had not provided adequate evidence that the hospice’s actions necessitated or warranted her resignation. No compensation was recommended in this dispute.
