The Workplace Relations Commission found a member of the Traveller community’s Equal Status complaint against a local authority not well founded after the complainant failed to attend three hearings. The merits were not decided. Adjudication Officer Andrew Heavey dated the decision 11 August 2023. The complaint alleged discrimination and harassment relating to accommodation needs. The WRC found the local authority was the correct respondent because it provided the service and was responsible for its staff’s actions.
