WRC finds accommodation complaint out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission found a worker’s Equal Status complaint about a local authority’s response to accommodation needs was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 10 August 2023. The complaint was lodged in June 2018 and concerned events dating to 2015. An Equal Status notification had been submitted in February 2016. The adjudication officer found no exceptional circumstances to dispense with the notification requirements.
