The Workplace Relations Commission found Bose Salami’s unfair dismissal complaint against Holland And Barrett not well founded after he did not attend the hearing. The decision, dated 16 June 2023, said he had been sent the hearing details by email, but attempts to contact him by telephone were unsuccessful. Salami said he was unfairly dismissed in April 2020 after a co-worker complained about him. The respondent attended the hearing, but gave no evidence because Salami was absent. The merits were not decided.
