The Workplace Relations Commission found Derek Doyle’s minimum-notice and unfair-dismissal complaints against Primeline Vne Limited were brought outside the time limit and were not well founded. The decision was dated 10 August 2023. Doyle said the dismissal date was unclear until his appeal concluded in July 2020. The WRC found his employment ended on 24 April 2020 and that the complaints, submitted on 11 January 2021, were late. It also found his representative’s family circumstances did not justify extending the deadline. The WRC found the complaints were brought outside the time limit and were not well founded; the merits were not decided.
