The Workplace Relations Commission found Pjotrs Ivahno’s wage complaint against Galway Clinic Doughiska Limited not well founded. The decision was dated 8 September 2023. Ivahno had raised the same facts in an earlier case, ADJ-00032772, which had been heard by the WRC and appealed to the Labour Court. The adjudication officer said the complaint duplicated that case and applied res judicata, the principle that a matter finally decided cannot be litigated again. The officer also said Ivahno had no right to appeal from the Labour Court back to the WRC.
