The Workplace Relations Commission found William Slevin's Equal Status complaint against Kevin Duffy's Supervalu was filed outside the six-month time limit. In a decision dated 21 September 2022, it said the substance of the complaint did not fall to be considered; the merits were not decided. Slevin said a dispute arose while he was shopping on 2 February 2021, after he declined a request to wear a mask, saying he had a reasonable excuse. The complaint was received by the WRC on 14 October 2021. The commission found that his explanation did not provide reasonable grounds for extending the time limit.
