The Workplace Relations Commission made no further recommendation on a worker's dispute over a verbal warning after finding it had expired. The decision was dated 14 February 2023. The worker, a trade union convenor, said the warning followed a disagreement over using annual leave to attend to his daughter at hospital. The employer did not attend; its written case said the warning was for poor performance and inappropriate behaviour. The WRC recommended that both sides continue to use agreed mechanisms to deal with such disputes.
