The WRC found that a worker’s constructive dismissal complaint was not well founded after he resigned knowing his employment was likely to end over repeated lateness. The decision was dated 22 May 2023. He said he left after assaults by a colleague, a refused transfer and reduced hours. The employer said he had not raised a grievance and resigned ahead of a probation review over lateness. The WRC found the employer’s evidence compelling and was not satisfied that the worker had contacted HR about the incident.
