The Workplace Relations Commission found that Harry O Donovan’s employment contract did not meet legal requirements for stating pay and how often wages would be paid. The decision, dated 3 January 2023, upheld William Moloney’s complaint under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994. At the hearing, O Donovan agreed to amend the contract to state that Moloney would be paid every three weeks at €12.40 an hour for 37.5 hours a week. Two other complaints were withdrawn: one as a duplicate and another after the wages had been paid.
