The Workplace Relations Commission found 43 complaints by former Dyson worker Sonzic Francis were brought outside the six-month time limit and accordingly failed. The decision, dated 6 June 2023, says the WRC lacked jurisdiction to hear them. The complaints covered alleged breaches of employment laws on wages, working time, dismissal, equality and other matters. Francis said she had worked after 6 January 2022, but the adjudication officer found she resigned that day and filed her complaints on 7 July, six months and one day later. No basis was established to extend the time limit. Dyson had conceded three wage claims and said it was willing to pay €965.20, but the WRC said it had no jurisdiction to decide those claims. The complaints were found to be outside the time limit and were not well founded; the merits were not decided.
