The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Ampyx Power Ireland Ltd to pay former mechanical design engineer Quentin Morel €11,576.25 gross for unpaid wages and holiday pay. The decision, dated 16 June 2023, found his payment-of-wages complaint well founded. Morel told the WRC he had not been paid for April and part of May 2022, despite receiving payslips, and was also owed two weeks' holiday pay. The company did not attend the hearing; the adjudicator said it had received notice. Based on Morel's uncontested evidence, the adjudicator found the unpaid wages were an unlawful deduction and ordered payment within six weeks of the decision.
