Lidl worker’s wages complaint found not well founded after missed hearing

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission found Sandra Stefanovic’s Payment of Wages complaint against Lidl Ireland Gmbh not well founded after she did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 8 March 2024. The adjudication officer cited her unexplained absence; the merits were not decided. Stefanovic said she was owed about €2,500 after resigning. Lidl said it had made lawful deductions to recover salary and sickness-pay overpayments, including €981.63, and relied on a contractual authorisation.
