The Workplace Relations Commission found Sheerwater Hotel was not the correct respondent to Katelynn Ward’s complaint alleging discrimination on the Traveller community ground at a music event. Adjudication Officer Louise Boyle dated the decision 17 June 2025. The hotel argued the Sunday Club organised the event, while Ward maintained the hotel was responsible, citing the venue and alleged promotional involvement. The WRC said it lacked jurisdiction to hear the substantive complaint; the discrimination allegation was not decided.
