A WRC adjudication officer ordered Andrei Moisei to pay carpenter Ion Cusnir €800 in unpaid wages. The decision, dated 14 June 2024, found Cusnir’s complaint under the Payment of Wages Act 1991 well founded. Cusnir said he worked a 40-hour trial week beginning 26 June 2023 at an agreed rate of €20 an hour, with payment due at the end of the week. He said Moisei later asked to delay payment by a week, but Cusnir could not reach him and was never paid. Moisei did not attend the hearing. The adjudicator accepted that Cusnir had worked the week and had received no payment.
