The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) rejected Samantha Maloney’s complaints that The Q Cafe Company Limited failed to provide written employment terms and constructively dismissed her. Adjudication Officer Conor Stokes dated the decision 13 June 2025. Maloney’s separate complaint for unpaid holiday pay was withdrawn at the hearing. The WRC found that her employment terms remained in place after the business took over the site and that she had not shown resignation was her only alternative. Maloney said workplace conditions, pay and grievance concerns led her to leave; the company said it relied on terms inherited from the previous employer and argued she had not completed internal procedures.
