The Workplace Relations Commission found Christopher Hand’s holiday-pay complaint against Absolute Drain Services Limited was not well founded, ruling that he had received his statutory annual leave entitlement. The decision was dated 4 June 2024. Hand said he had not received holiday pay in his final pay packet, including five days carried over from the previous year. The company said all leave owed had been paid. The adjudicator found his final pay included eight days of annual leave and that five days’ absence had been paid and offset against carried-over leave. The difference in his final net pay arose from tax deductions, the decision said.
