The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Séamus Keenan €1,500 compensation after finding that Monaghan County Council failed to pay his accrued annual leave when his employment ended. The decision by adjudication officer Louise Boyle was dated 2025-05-02. The council said the delay resulted from an error in interpreting its leave policy and that the 10 days due were paid in October 2024. The WRC upheld the annual leave complaint; Keenan withdrew his other three complaints, including two under the Payment of Wages Act.
