The Workplace Relations Commission found Kevin Dalton’s redundancy complaint against United Parcel Service Ireland Ltd not well founded in a decision dated 29 May 2025. Dalton argued that his role had ceased and he should have received redundancy entitlements after his late application for voluntary redundancy was refused. The company said the application missed the deadline, the required number of applications had already been received and he declined other roles before resigning. The adjudication officer found his employment ended by resignation, not redundancy, and dismissed the complaint.
