The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Rodrigo Santana’s unfair dismissal complaint against Easy Hotel Ltd, finding he had been suspended without pay rather than dismissed. Adjudication Officer John Harraghy dated the decision 8 May 2025. Santana said he had applied to renew his work permit before it expired and sought €2,420.93 for lost pay during the suspension. Easy Hotel said his permission to work had expired, his contract made it his responsibility to maintain valid permission, and it lifted the suspension when confirmation arrived.
