The WRC found it had no jurisdiction over a worker’s unfair dismissal complaint because he had less than 12 months’ service. The merits of that complaint were not decided. In a decision dated 28 July 2025, it also found his separate industrial relations complaint was not well founded. The adjudicator found the worker was dismissed during probation for poor performance, and that the employer could dismiss him without fair procedures. Both complaints failed.
