The Workplace Relations Commission found Parfums Christian Dior (Ireland) Limited acted reasonably in dismissing Emanuela Byrne after it concluded she had removed a gift set and other beauty products without permission. The decision, dated 29 May 2026, rejected her unfair dismissal complaint and found no procedural unfairness. Byrne argued that her dismissal was disproportionate and procedurally unfair, and that the misconduct allegation was retaliation for workplace and pay concerns. The WRC also found her complaints alleging health and safety penalisation and failure to provide written salary-change information were not well founded. She withdrew a duplicate unfair dismissal complaint and a complaint under the Health Act 2007.
