WRC dismisses Paul Nolan’s discrimination complaint on jurisdiction grounds

By Eimear Byrne

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ruled it lacked jurisdiction over Paul Nolan’s complaint against Bank Of Ireland or The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland, and made no finding on whether discrimination or victimisation occurred. The decision was dated 10 July 2026. Nolan alleged discrimination on gender and family-status grounds and related victimisation. The adjudicator found the respondent name was incorrect and the complaint was outside the time limit, with no reasonable cause to extend it.
