Bus driver awarded €2,310 over unpaid wages

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Adrian Hardiman €2,310 compensation after finding that Noel Kelly Bus Hire had unlawfully deducted wages. The decision was dated 5 August 2026. Hardiman said he had not been paid for 115.5 hours of casual bus driving and sought reimbursement for diesel. The company denied the wage allegation, saying payment had been left in a bus. The adjudication officer accepted Hardiman’s evidence; the diesel expense was excluded because expenses are not wages under the Act.
