Equality Tribunal rejects shop manager’s sexual harassment complaint

By Saoirse Doyle

Workplace decision ·

The Equality Tribunal found a shop manager’s sexual harassment complaint against a retail outlet was not well founded. The decision was dated 12 December 2011. The manager said a warehouse manager made repeated sexual comments during deliveries and that senior managers did not respond properly when she reported him. The outlet disputed her account and said it investigated one reported incident. The officer found the manager’s evidence was not credible. A separate harassment complaint was withdrawn after being treated as outside the time limit.
