An Equality Officer found for a Montessori school proprietor in a disability discrimination complaint brought by Mrs C on behalf of her daughter, J. The decision was dated 20 May 2008.
Mrs C said the proprietor, Mrs L, resisted arranging preschool support for J and ended her attendance after a dispute. Mrs L said she was willing to facilitate the support but needed information and involvement in the arrangements.
The officer found that Mrs L had not treated J less favourably and had made reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute and facilitate the support. The complaint was not well founded.
